As you may have suspected life as an elf is a lot diffent then as a human. Evrey day we get assined diffent jobs. One day I could be Making toys the next I could be taking care of the raindeer. There are 353532467626256234 elves in Santa's workshop and we all have a job to do. We also get assinged diffent ranks that gose form 1-353532467626256234. I'm #2 elf wich means i'm 2nd in comand. #1 elf is my good friend Banard. Banard and I both love our jobs here at the North Pole its realy a great place to work.
Toy Making
When an elf get assinged to make toys he/she has to report to Santa's Workshop(shown bellow) We make most of the toys here but a toy like an ipod we have to go out and bye even though we make mp3 players here we can't make something with a brand name like an ipod. A good elf can make a fire truck in 5min. Even though we make toys so fast we still get behind cause there are so many kids in the world. This is the first year in a long time that we havn't been behind.
Taking Care of the Raindeer
The raindeer need constent care. When an elf gets assinged to take care of a raindeer he/she has to go to the raindeer stables. The first thing they do is feed them breakfast.(the raindeer normaly eat feed corn for breakfast) Then the elves take the raindeer and fly around and exersise the raindeer need to be in tip top shape for Christmas. Then raindeer get a lunck break and another break at 3pm then at 5pm we all eat our dinner.(sometimes the raindeer even eat with us) Then after dinner we clip the raindeers' hoves but by then they all want to keep exersising and its hard to keep them down (sometimes it takes 3-5 elves to keep the raindeer from flying away and they still arn't down all the way there still in the air) After we clip there hoves we let the raindeer do whatever they want for the rest of the day. They normaly just play with the elves look for food or just stay in there stables and sleep.
Present Wrapping
When an elf gets assinged present wrapper he/she reprots to Santa's workshop. When an elf is done with a toy he/she puts it on a conver belt were it is taken to the wrapping elves. In a wrapping elves wrapping staition there's all kinds of differnt wrapping paper boxes and bows. Once the elf is done wrapping a present it gose back on the conver belt were it's taken to Santa's sleigh. A good wrapping elf can wrap a medium size present in 2-5 sec. There are some kids that pefer it when Santa dosn't wrap there presents so then the elf that mad the toy would put a note on it that says NO WRAPPING the wrapping elves leave it on the conver belt and Santa just takes it off when he puts the present under the tree.
Decorating for Christmas
Yes decorating for Christmas is a job here in Christmas town. We start decorating Nov.1 and well still decorating on Christmas eve because there's so many decorations and so many things to decorate. Here in Christmas town we have evey Christmas decoration you can imagen and then some.
The List
We also help Santa with the Naughty and Nice list. As it explains in the movie Santa Clause is Comeing to Town Santa has a magic snowball and he can see any kid in the world with it. Now the snow ball has grown realy big and the elves watch it and see who is Naughty or Nice. The list is in a room called the Naughty and Nice room. The list takes up the whole room cause its so big. There are also some sections broken off (shown bellow) that the elves use when looking in the snowball. And don't ask me what list your on cause I'm not allowed to say.
